1st Xavier Creative House
Warwick, Pennsylvania
29 Employees
Xavier Creative House (XCH), an independent, woman-owned agency, has established itself as a visionary leader in healthcare marketing for more than a decade. The firm’s team of experts is dedicated to innovation, strategic thinking, and transforming possibilities into realities. Unconstrained by traditional boundaries, XCH partners with clients to uncover hidden market opportunities and develop creative, impactful solutions in a highly regulated industry. Known for its agility and collaboration, XCH forms expertise-driven teams that act as an extension of each client’s organization, fostering strong, long-term relationships through high-touch, responsive service.
In 2025, Xavier Creative House (XCH) elevated employee well-being to a company-wide strategic goal with the launch of “The eXperience: Living the XCH Life,” a bold, branded initiative rooted in five core wellness pillars and fully aligned with the company’s values. This shift transformed wellness from an HR initiative to a board-level priority, embedding it into every aspect of how XCH hires, leads, and cares for its team.
Following its annual Employee Wellness Survey, XCH discovered that 44% of employees prioritized stress management and work-life balance. In response, the company introduced targeted mental health initiatives and restructured its wellness challenges from monthly to quarterly, reducing fatigue and boosting participation.
To provide personalized support, XCH expanded access to Health Advocate, offering employees one-on-one guidance with medical billing, benefits navigation, emotional well-being, and financial resources—bridging the gap between strategy and daily support. Among its standout offerings is a quarterly $150 wellness reimbursement, allowing employees to define and pursue their own version of well-being, from therapy and mindfulness apps to fitness gear.

1st Independence Health System
Greensburg, Pennsylvania
4,989 Employees

Independence Health System was formed in 2023 through the merger of Excela Health and Butler Health System in Western Pennsylvania. The system delivers nationally recognized care in cardiology, orthopedics, palliative care, and maternity, alongside a full spectrum of surgical, medical, emergency, and behavioral health services. Supported by an extensive network of primary care physicians, Independence Health System operates five hospitals, employs more than 7,000 staff, and includes nearly 1,000 healthcare providers, making it the largest employer in Butler and Westmoreland counties and serving a region spanning over ten counties.
Independence Health System Wellness promotes employee participation in its Wellness Medical Premium Reduction program, which offers nearly a 25% reduction in medical premiums for completing annual wellness activities. Participation is voluntary for all employees, regardless of medical coverage. Employees who complete the 200-point wellness program receive an average reduction of about $25 per biweekly paycheck—or $600 per year per covered individual.
While overall 2024 program completion fell below 75%, analysis shows strong year-over-year improvements across the system. The program significantly improved preventive care engagement. Among employees, 66% of members aged 19–39 visited their primary care provider for preventive care (compared to a national 46%), 71% of members aged 40–64 had preventive visits (versus 59% nationally), 77% of women aged 40–75 received breast cancer screenings (62% benchmark), and 51% of participants aged 45–75 underwent colorectal cancer screening. These outcomes highlight meaningful progress in both wellness participation and preventive health across the system.
