Mark III, the company’s broker, has played a significant role in enhancing the wellness program by introducing the third-party vendor PPCN in 2021. Participants exceeded industry standards for clinical goal achievement, with 60% achieving an A1c below 7.0 (an increase of 15%), 85% achieving an A1c below 8.0 (an increase of 35%), and only 5% with an A1c above 9.0 (a decrease of 25%). In the cardiovascular program, participants experienced an average blood pressure reduction of 8/2 mm Hg over 999 days. These employees also cost the health plan an average of $2,741 less than non-participants, with costs of $8,079 compared to $10,820.
